Gabriel Heiss

​     Gabriel Heiss is a freelance cinematographer that specializes in digital video editing that resides in the 2.5 square mile city within Detroit, MI known as Hamtramck.

 

    That handsome devil on my home page is my late grandfather and hero, Jack Lee Rose from Pinckney, MI via Morehead, KY that passed away in 2004. With the spirit of WWII still present in the youth of the 1950's, Jack Rose joined the United States Army at age 16 (!) . In Korea, he was was shot, bayoneted, and left for dead on 11/08/1950, dragging himself and his own entrails into a nearby barn before being rescued and shipped to a hospital at an American base in Tokyo. He always thought he should have died in Korea, and that he was living life on borrowed time.

    Like Grandpa Rose, I like to live life to the fullest and feel a certain drive to get things done; whether that be my band's album or my current film and video projects.
