Gabriel Heiss

​     Gabriel Heiss is a freelance cinematographer that specializes in digital video editing that resides in the 2.5 square mile city within Detroit, MI known as Hamtramck.

 

    That dashing young gentleman on my home page is my late grandfather and hero, Jack Lee Rose from Clearfield, Kentucky (near Morehead, KY) that passed away in 2004 in Pinckney, MI. With the spirit of WWII still present in the youth of the 1950's, Jack Rose joined the United States Army at age 16 (!) . In Korea, he was was shot, bayoneted, and left for dead on 11/08/1950, dragging himself and his own entrails into a nearby barn before being rescued and helicoptered to a hospital at an American base in Tokyo. He always thought he should have died in Korea, and that he was living life on borrowed time. 

​     Like Grandpa Rose, I like to live life to the fullest and feel a certain drive as a creative, to get things done; musically or with my current film or any other artistic projects.
